    Hi people,
i just upgraded the HDD with a vertex 3,I know that the drive is SATA III and I can not utilize the full speed, but i thought about a future proof purchase. The drive was installed and recognized with no problems.I also installed Lion.Everything was snappy and was working ok.
I thought let's try xbench and see how good is my Mac.I performed a test and I got the following result:

    Results 170.54
    System Info
    Xbench Version 1.3

Is this acceptable?I just need some guidance because this is doing my head in.
For sure the system is snappier, but am I getting what I should?

Strange thing is that if i have opened some applications (lightroom, preview,Safari, mail ) I get better score.Like this:

Those speeds look about right for a SATA II connection.
