So i just got a text from my phone company, this is the first time i got one of these.

'Welcome to Rogers Video & Picture Messaging. To view future videos and pictures visit rogers.com/mypix. Your password is xxxx."

Is this preparing for MMS and Video uploading from an iPhone, and other devices?

    to me, probably not

that password is probably used to access the pictures that people texted you to your iphone. when you get an MMS on your iphone. your given a link and to that link is the picture or content. you need a password to access that link.

Since the iPhone does not yet support MMS (picture and video messaging) if someone sent you a picture via text messaging Rogers redirects it to their server and notifies you to access and set up an account to view and send MMS messages.

We will be getting MMS with the public release of OS 3. (hopefully Rogers in Canada too).
