Hi Guys

I need a youtube video downloader which downloads video in more a less the same quality they are on youtube.

After reading alot about YouTube Downloader HD i decided to download it, but unfortunately the video quality is not the same as the original on youtube..

Any advice?

Also I need to download video from other sites.

can you please advice which would be the best software?

I dont mind paying for the software HOWEVER i would like to test it out before I buy it

With YouTube you can actually use Safari for this – go to Activity, and it'll show you what's loading on each page. With YT you'll see a multi-megabyte file… click on that and it'll start downloading. As to non-YouTube sites, can't help you with that.

Is it good qaulity using Safari?

It has nothing to do with the browser. What matters is the quality of the original video, and what resolution you've selected. If you pick a 720p or 1080p video, the file you download will match that. If you choose 360p or 480p, same story.

The thing is

If i download a video using youtube downloader hd

And I think it was the setting best available I used

The quality was not as good as what I was watching on youtube?

I don't know how that program works, but the file that you'd see under Activity is the file that YouTube is loading to play for you. It's identical.

Excellent will give this a shot later on today

Can anyone help me with downloading from other sites please?

I just tried clipgrab not so impressed although it is simple to use

I used thedemo version of Jaksta that was really good

will test the others out tomorrow
