I recently got my new Powermac (It's freakin' amazing) and I've been downloading some game demo's and wanted to know if anyone know's what the 6600 should be optimally be set at to get some decent frame rates, without sacraficing too much detail. The games i'm interested in are below... thanks! :D

    - Doom 3
    - Unreal Tournament 2004
    - America's Army

EDIT: I'm using a LCD with a native resolution of 1280x1024

It depends heavily on what display you have - if you have a flat panel you'll want to go with the panel's native res unless the framrates are too low at that res. CRT's are more flexible.

Always use the native resolution with an LCD (if you can).

For texture detail, I would start with medium and see where you can go from there. For Doom 3, the settings will be lower of course because it is so demanding. You may have to use Low, but it will still look nice :D

    I have a PM G5 and I play doom 3 at max everything at (1280 by 1024) 60fps when there's nothing to around 24 when it's crowded. X800XT with 1.25gb ram 1.8 single G5.
