Is there a way to view my Macbook Pro running Leopard on a PC remotely on a different network (that is, different router, different external IP addresses for both).

Me and a friend are doing a group project and it would be easier if he could see my screen at the same time, but he is on a PC on a different network. Is there some sort of Mac or Windows app that allows him to view my Macbook Pro? Thanks.

I know that there is the Screen Share option in Leopard but im not sure how he can view it on his PC side.

On his side: VNC Client

On your side: Turn on VNC Sharing in system prefs, port forward the appropriate ports from your router.

What port is it? Leopard doesn't specify the port, just shows me an IP address with no port. I'm thinking port 80?

According to this from Apple, VNC operates on port 5900 TCP.

If that doesn't work, you can always try third-party software like LogMeIn. Makes it very easy to screen share.

Hope this helps.
