Viewing after ripping it....

I just ripped a home movie using Mac the Ripper, but now I want to view and possibly edit it.
What video player can I use to view it. I tried Qt, Dvix, Real, Wmv, Miro, and even iMovie and iMovie HD and I get the same message about not being the right type of video format.
All the help is useful and appreciated!!!

You can use vlc for viewing. Editing isn't going to be free...

The video player, vlc will play your movies. It's free. Here's the download site:

Editing a commercial movie isn't legal in the U.S. and it's not easy either. Don't know that to tell you about that.

The VLC Media Player is for windows, but we're here on macrumors, you know.

To the OP, you can use Apple's standard DVD Player. Open the programm and press CMD-O to open the ripped file. It's that easy.

You can also rip the Mac-The-Ripper file with Handbrake and then edit with iMovie.
