viewing geotag information on the phone

As the title states, why is it not possible to view geotag information from the phone. I feel like it would be nice to tap a photo, hit a button and see where it was taken at. The ability is there, because of geotagging built in, so why is there not a cool app to do this?

Picasa will map based on Geotag

You can use Picasa to do this with Google Earth or a Picasa web album.

You can also setup the web album to allow you to email pics directly from the Iphone using a custom email address.

How about a google earth view with dots listing everywhere you have taken a photo, then you just click miami to show you the photos of your miami vacation etc?

that would be sort of like places, on the mac in iphoto, but having it on the phone would be nice

I don't know of any easy way to view the photos geographically arranged on the iPhone. When I view the Picasa web album on the iPhone, Google uses a different iPhone optimized interface that doesn't have the map option.

It should would be nice to have an App to do this using Google Earth and the photos stored on the phone.

I always thought about this too, they should give the option of viewing it.
