I really wanted to title this thread "Stay Classy Republicans," after all, it has been a while since we had a good "stay classy" thread. But, this isn't limited to Republicans. That being said, if you are a racist, at least you know you aren't alone. If you're lonely, just go to a Romney/Santorum/Gingrinch rally, you're sure to find some friends.

This image is making the rounds on Facebook:

According to HuffPo, there are other designs available. They have images of the other stickers sold by Stumpy's if you need to get your bloodpressure up.

Well its spelled renege if they meant it the other way so there's no way of "backing out of it", if you have this sticker you are a racist.

Wow- and everyone keeps saying it was never about race. Well, it seems it certainly is for a lot of people.

Since Lee ignores me, would someone explain to Lee that just because a person or two, maybe even a thousand. I don't know the number are racist. Doesn't mean the whole party is racist.

There are plenty of racist democrats too.

First, yes, there are some racist Democrats. But, the Democratic Party and the people who are outspoken supporters of that party and its candidates are not openly advocating racism and racist thought.

 I can hear your question or denial already, so let me remind you about the Arizona Papers Please law. Rand and Ron Paul's desire to repeal the Civil Rights Act (not to mention Ron's newsletters). Santorum won't support Puerto Rico's self determination because they speak Spanish (you just had to know that English as our national language would come up in this election at some point). How about the open discrimination and hostility to those of middle-eastern descent?

Care to guess who called President Obama a Halfrican. Who do you think called him a "man-child?" Is there much difference between "man-child" and "boy?" How about railing about the president being a man of leisure (lazy?) and much more. Yep, that would be a man who claims to have 25 million listeners. Either he's a racist pig or he's acting like one to attract his 25 million viewers. Twenty-Five million is more than "a person or two." (Link to radical left-wing socialist source)

Glenn Beck doesn't want you to forget him or those sl**s Laura Ingram and Ann Coulter ( Sorry, :D I couldn't resist).

The link has the context before you say anything about "out of context."

(edit) Not to mention that I don't think even the "New Black Panther Party" has bumper stickers advocating "Kill Whitey" or "Crackers are only good for cheese"

The Arizona law is not racist, they are not going to Nazi thing and checking random peoples papers. It's about showing ID when you're pulled over for traffic violations or domestic issues. Things that we would normally show ID for anyway.

What do any of Rush's comments have with racism? Other than the Halfrican one that may be taken either way. Since Rush is known for making up his own words. Obama is Half African American is he not?

The Arizona law, before they amended it to try to comply with the Constitution, originally allowed a police officer to walk up to a brown person and demand papers to prove they were a citizen or a legal alien.

Halfrican was a made up word, and could be taken either way, but lazy and boy are terms that have a long, long racist past. Had he said those terms directly, who knows what would have happened. Instead, he just insinuates the terms. He's a 'man-child' or he's a 'man of liesure.' He also regularly claims the president is not intelligent, and take any chance he can to disparage his education, his grades...

Did you notice that I haven't even mentioned the entire birther non-sense.

If you (in general) aren't embarrassed by what the GOP and its supporters are regularly doing, then I have to question whether you (in general) agree with what they are saying and doing.

    (edit) Just for reference:

    rac·ism   /ˈreɪsɪzəm/ [rey-siz-uhm] noun
    1. a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
    2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.
    3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.

Oohhh, classy bumpersticker. I recently saw one of a confederate flag with the following written next to it, "I'll give up my flag if you give up MLK day."

Neither Lee nor the OP said this was a Republican only thing.

I would love to see the NAACP organize large groups to attend the political rallys held by the GOP candidates and then video the reactions of the people to the change in demographics.

Never said anything about the OP, but he did write "Stay classy Republicans".

Lee on the other hand, it's always a Republican thing for him.

Except Lee didn't make it a Republican thing here. Take that rage to whatever other thread you think he has done that in but that is not this one, as far as I can see.

    That sticker is repulsive.

I should be entitled, he put a lot of word in my mouth in the last thread he debated me on.

    ----------

Do you see rage? No rage here, and I agree about that sticker. Do we have an issue?

The "Stay Classy Republicans" was a series of threads from a while back. While I admit openly that there are racist Democrats, this is a political bumper sticker advocating the election of someone other than President Obama. I'm guessing this guy isn't voting for the Green Party, although that's possible.

Based on the vehicle and other evidence available to us, we know the car truck is driven by a guy, he hunts ducks (bigger image elsewhere), he likes his guns a lot (Benelli is a brand of shotgun), he isn't an environmentalist (it's a truck/actually SUV), and he's a racist who will likely vote Republican.

Then again, it could be a lesbian, vegan, anti-war pacifist who advocates for a socialist takeover of GM and wants to kill grandma.

    ----------

FYI, the GOP frontrunner is a Mormon. Until 1978, his church didn't allow blacks to join, and if you google mormon racism you can find out about their teachings on the issues of blacks, Jews and native Americans. I'm fairly certain Mitt is old enough to remember pre-1978. He was born in 1947, so we know that he was a missionary for a religion that openly discriminated and he remained a member of that church until he was 31 and the church allowed blacks to join (but I heard there were qualifications, but have no way of knowing).

How can you support a religion that openly calls for discrimination? Romney was a missionary and later a bishop in the Mormon church. He tithed to the Mormon church. That's a pretty significant endorsement of the church and their beliefs and policies.

Someone with a conscience might say "I'm not doing anything or giving a dime to the church until they get rid of their racist policies." But not Romney.

Reverend Wright is still something Rush Limbaugh occassionally comes back to. How can one or two sermons be so bad, but an actual policy of discrimination be ok?

After being on this board for a short time, it really doesn't surprise me.

Republicans are finally coming out in the open. Nixon's South Strategy is now totally without a fig leaf.
