Why does this "god" character only punish some of the women who have abortions? Isn't that rather inconsistent?

I'm sure he keeps a tally of other sins they've committed and goes from there. :)

Hurricanes, earthquakes, and now disabled children. Stay classy theopoliticians.

EDIT: It will be interesting to see which side Sarah Palin falls on - I'm sure some pundit/reporter will pressure her for some sort of response.

Ok. I apologize. My dislike of Sarah Palin allowed the worse in me to come out.

There is no defending this guy, but one dumb comment does not make entire GOP idiots.

All Democrats are not idiots and not all Republicans are idiots. Take Joe Biden as an example. Just because he made this statement http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2mzbuRgnI4 doesn't make all Democrats dumb.

Biden's blooper and this VA guy's specific, intentional comment are two waaaaaaay different things. Is that not obvious to you?

Agreed, and there are worse out there. My point was is that one man does not make a political party. This guy was an idiot, but that doesn't mean the entire GOP are idiots.

Of course, but there's an evolving pattern of ill-informed arguments coming out of the party.

Marshall joins the ranks of men like Akin for exposing his warped and incorrect viewpoint with the world.

as I said it has become so common place that behavior like this is normal for the GOP not the exception. I saw the comment and lawmaker and I knew right off the bat it was GOP and that was before I even read the article. So tell me why is it that comments like this coming from the GOP is not even surprising?
