Vodafone tell me new iPhone (iPhone5?) coming in September

Just called up Vodafone to negotiate an upgrade & they told me they are receiving an updated iPhone in September. They advised me not to upgrade to the 4S & wait for the new model.


I assume it's the iPhone 5.

Is this common knowledge?

I thought it was pretty weird for a carrier to be flat out admit the existence of a yet to be announced product.

It's all based on rumour. Nobody apart from Apple will have any knowledge on this.

exactly, and the new iPhone will be released in October.

What i'm hoping for is that Apple will do the same thing with the 4s when the new phone comes out that they did with the 3gs when the 4 came out. By this i mean moving up upgrade dates about 6 months.

But hey that's just what i hope happens, and will most likely not happen.
