    Highly recommend the following:

    1) Person of Interest
    2) The Tunnel
    3) The Yes Men Fix the World
    4) Zenith (3 part series)
    5) Pioneer One (ongoing series)
    6) A Lonely Place for Dying (ongoing series)

So far on par with similar mainstream offerings.

    Hopefully, more recommendations to come.

    Erm...right here.

Seriously, check out some of the films I recommended.

Unless you only like mainstream Hollywood blockbusters with more special effects than substance, you won't be disappointed.

I'm up to date with both Pioneer One and A Lonely Place for Dying.

I'm going to check out the others this weekend. I've not been impressed with this years summer blockbusters, time for something great and independent.

If you like your interesting horror, I recommend The Tunnel.
Zenith is a bit farout, reminds me of Strange Days, and even slightly Twin Peaks-esque.
Was not keen on Person of Interest, I'm a brit, and it was very very US Patriotic. No problem with that if that your bag, it's not mine.

That's interesting, I'm not an American and I found it somewhat disparaging of the US due to much of the theme of the film being related to the lack of support for soldiers returning home from the war with PTSD and other mental illness.
