Does the iPhone have the capability to translate voice input to text? Will there ever be an app that can do this?

I could see this being really useful for online forums and such where typing is a pain.

I don't know if this is even appropriate for the app forum, but thought I would ask anyway. It would be cool to have this as part of the iPhone OS. Thanks!

ReQall does it. But it's for making verbal notes to oneself such as "Remember to pickup the dry cleaning". Your voice it transmitted to ReQalls servers and your 'ToDo' list in the ReQall app is updated. I've found translation pretty accurate and it even recognizes appointment type message "Meet Jim at 10 tomorrow" and updates your ReQall calendar.
