When is it coming? This business of standing in line forever and voting is just ridiculous.

Greatest country on earth, eh? Why does a place like Estonia have online voting and we don't?

    Total BS.

Our participation rate is a fraction of Australia's, I believe. Do you get the day off or something?

It should take some effort. Especially considering the decisions we are making. Sorry to say but not all people should be a part of this process.

Took me maybe 15 minutes. What I do want is the entire country using the SAME voting machines and have a hard paper trail so that the ballots can be recounted and confirmed. Right now I do not trust my "current" government to do an accurate count. As it is the government is running the election and that scares me enough.

    Well said.
Imagine if it was mostly done remotely online.
The voter fraud issues and even hacking issues that could potentially come up.
Even with regular ballots there's issues with voter fraud. Dead people vote all the time, and people that are not US citizens and so on.
Its not as simple as download the app and click vote, would be nice though in the future.

Because the world wouldn't blink let a lone notice if Estonia didn't exist. It's a little different when it comes to electing the leader of the global superpower.

Colorado recently switched to all mail-in elections. This is the first presidential election with this system in our state. I dropped off my wife's and my ballot last week. This morning I checked the Colorado Secretary of State's website and saw that both ballots were received and would be counted.

Mail-in ballots are great. Voted last month with no line whatsoever.

That's kinda neat. How are the ballots read and reported? Scantron like system?

If it's like a California ballot, then yeah, it's a scantron.

That's a step in the right direction.

I would love to move to Colorado, but I understand it's gotten pretty crowded. No wonder--smart people like liberal places.
