Think I have found a bug, which I have yet to report. Thought I would ask on here first...

Even though I havE two NordVPN options setup in Network Preferences. Following a reboot on Catalina, the menu bar icon reports that there are no VPNs setup. The only way to populate the menu bar drop down is to connect using Network Prefs in System Prefs...

Anyone else? Any fixes or tweaks I need to apply?

Thanks, had a quick look through them... seems VPN's are flaky on Catalina. However, nothing that seemed to match my situation...?

Facing this exact issue on macOS 10.15.3. Is there any service I can kill & start in terminal for the VPN list to populate again?

I get the exact same issue. VPN is configured, but sometimes on reboot, the menubar claims it isn't. Visiting the Network prefs at the VPN config, and unchecking and rechecking "Show VPN status in menu bar" fixes it, but it's annoying.

Same issue happens in the Big Sur beta, so not too hopeful for a fix.

Still present in Big Sur 11.2... not a major issue but I've reported it to Apple anyway.

Yeah, this VPN menu bug has been present for a ridiculous amount of time. Apple seem incapable, or unwilling to spend the time to fix.
