Wait what? Lightning doesn't do analog audio out?

"This adapter lets you connect devices with a Lightning connector to many of your 30-pin accessories.* Video and iPod Out not supported."

So if you have a iPod kit in your car which uses the 30 pin connector it's now useless? Please tell me it isn't. For my friends sake who bought a new car and had one fitted. :p

My car has the 3.5 jack in the dash so it's cool but come on, that really sucks if true.

    1. Already a thread about this.

    2. No, it is analog video and iPod out--an obscure feature used mostly just in BMWs to export the full iPod classic style menu interface to a screen on the car. Not iPod control, not audio out. Something different.

This question is gonna get annoying.

    A lot of unhappy people.

However, this sort of thing has to happen. Apple does this ALL THE TIME.

Pain of progress. But it is progress.

But anyway, i'm liking the new connector that's why i'm rationalizing this this way. I really don't have a clue what i'm talking about

Note: love the Gazelle "Sell your iphone for cash" banner above. :D
