because it's a knee jerk reaction to liberals wanting CCW carriers to have insurance. 2 wrongs don't make a right.

Makes sense to me... Then again, I try to avoid "gun free" zones.

Is it? I have been avoiding "gun free" for a while just because. I know a lot of states that would like to eliminate gun free anything.

Yeah, I wasn't tracking what your point was either.

What? I do not see any reference in the bill to have insurance? Is that a requirement of the permit in Tennessee?

sorry, I am 10 steps ahead :p... plenty of liberals have implied those who carry should have CCW insurance, hell CA is looking to raise fees through the F roof so that you are essentially priced out . so while not related to THIS bill, it is something liberals have proposed.

Yep, cause that would stop the criminals from carrying!

My concern is they will just change the signs to read something like, "You are not permitted to enter if you have a firearm" to get around it.

I feel like this would set a bad precedent...

And was does absolute custodial responsibility mean? What if some idiot starts a fight and gets shot because of it? Would it still be the fault of the property/business owner?

It's not to stop criminals from carrying. It's insurance for when clueless ****wits "accidentally" injure someone or cause property damage when they're screwing around/"cleaning their firearms".

So let me get this straight...

I have my CCW and I can't carry because the business says I can't, I walk in and break my toe upon stubbing it, they are now fully responsible no matter what.

Because it overrides someone's right to enforce policy on their property to further enforce another, currently more in vogue right.

This measure won't stand constitutional scrutiny.

If your toe was stubbed by an attacker, yeah.

Utah teen shot himself. I am sure the parents have medical insurance to cover it. Me, I love taking my guns to the park to clean, being outdoors and all.

My pistol stays in my holster unless it is being used.

I only read the quoted part, as I am skimming along. Does the bill actually mention an attacker?
