Recently I had been reading that iphones now tend to overheat and the battery drain issues especially with the latest ios versions.

With all this taken into account, don't know if i should put in much trust into purchasing an iphone now.

If I do change my mind then i will go with the 15 Pro due to cheaper price and smaller form factor.

As with heat and battery issues, is anyone facing the same especially with the 15 Pro?

Should I go for it and wait until Apple fixes these bugs?

I’m not aware of any heat or battery bugs on iPhone, but I don’t have a 15 Pro. I have the 14 Pro Max and no issues with it.

It gets warm when I plug it into a charger that’s normal. The battery will drain if I’m using it heavily, have recently installed an update or if it’s new. That’s normal for any iPhone.

Maybe someone could specifically comment on the 15 Pro. I’m probably going to wait for the 17 to come out.

I noticed the pros being warmer than the regulars while on mag safe at the store, but the only time my wife has said anything about hers was when she was recording a graduation in direct 90 -something sunlight.

Hers lives in a case, she uses MagSafe and wired charging, shoots alot of, and edits photos, as well as play at off simple games, as well as regular communication type stuff

I ordered it. Thank you for the feedback.

My next question sort of off topic, how much longer will Apple support the 15 Pro with updates and security patches?

The reality is we don’t know. Given their track record I would guess between iOS 22-25. 5-7 years of software updates and another 2ish years of security updates. My guess would be security through 2030/2031.
