You can start the setup but the app is not showing on the watch yet...

I went into the Apple Watch app on phone and then to the heart setting and it was there.

One would presume it will be available in France as we are all apart of Europe atm....

Have you gone into your settings in the Apple Watch as stated.

Edit: I'm dumb, forgot that I don't have the beta installed on the watch.

I really hope it's gonna be available as soon as 5.2 is out. I was advised to get an ECG because of medication that I took up until recently so it would be cool if I wouldn't need to see a doctor for that.

I would go see a doctor!!!! The ecg app only picks up af. Nothing more will show.

I have now updated to WatchOS 5.2
And I have the ECG option but it says it is not available in my country. My watch from France and I’m from Israel.

How did you get 5.2 ? It's not available yet , I just checked when I say your post .

Does it require that you run 5.2 beta to have the setup screen on then iPhone?

You can run the setup on the phone on new release but even with Dev 5.2 on watch the ECG app doesnt show up, Apple probably need to "turn it on" when the official release is made....maybe that will come later today....usually 5pm GMT

Yep running beta here and not included. Assuming it will activate when full release later this week.

Running iOS 12.2 and WatchOS 5.2 beta i can see the complete setup screen in the Netherlands. Everything in the health app works, except the ECG app is still missing on the 5.2 beta. I'm now 100% sure that when 5.2 drops it will include the ECG app for the Netherlands.

Edit: The info screen includes CE marks
