Gawd I hope this is a mistake. I do not want to deal with standing in the line at the Apple stores

Worried about this too. They just showed the Pre-Order for the 5C on the 13th, no mention of the 5S.

Good news it it will be released in China along with the US release. Otherwise its a mess here in SF when yo have 1000s of Chinese lined up buying to sell back in China for a profit.

Sounds like preorder for 5S will begin Sept. 20.

In other words, there will be no pre-order.

That's not a pre-order since that is the release date.

It's in store on the 20th, it wouldn't be pre ordering. Hopefully we can pre order Friday will be disappointed if that isn't the case!

That is def not a mistake. But they are going to make a lot of people angry. I know Im not waiting in any lines with the zombie like Apple nutjobs...hopefully they will have a deal like last year where you could reserve the phone online and go pick it up the next day at the local Apple store.

so now do I need to stay up for the 5s on the night of the 19th/morning of the 20th? I can't get to an apple store that day until late in the afternoon...

So is there going to be some explanation for why they aren't allowing pre-orders for the 5S? Perhaps ridiculously low numbers of available units?
