Last week, I posted something benign on the Netflix buying Warner thread like “great, that’s all we need, more monopolies “, and someone , for no reason, went into my past history, spent hours looking into thousands of past posts , just to find something I said last year to bring it up as an argument. I got spooked by this behavior , and reacted to it, and got banned by mods.

This kind of stalking scares the **** out of me and make me feel unsafe. Why would anyone go digging thru thousands of posts from years ago looking for something to argue with, just for a post as benign as “Great, that’s all we need, more monopolies “ ?

If we are not allowed to react to users stalking us without getting banned, at least give us the option to block users the way Reddit does it. When you block a user on Reddit, you become invisible to them. They cannot see your posts , nor access your profile and search your past posts or stalk you.

Ignore users is not the same thing.
