The web sharing feature appears to have stopped working all of a sudden.

I had activated php by editing the httpd.conf file and it was working fine. I did however did a full restore from a cccloner backup. I have used disk utilities to repair disk permissions and they were ok. I have reverted the httpd.conf to the copy I had done before adding the php funtion and the problem remains.

The process seems to be running fine (green dot inside the Sharing pane) but I get the same error message in Safari when the web sharing is on and off when clicking the links that appear there:

Safari can’t connect to the server.Safari can’t open the page “http://-IP-/~user/” because it could not connect to the server “192.168.1.204”.

Any ideas? How can I check is the process is in fact running fine?
