Does ANYONE, I mean ANYONE, believe this isn't another Breitbart scam???
Silence, vagueness from Democrats on Weiner photo
I think this guy needs a shovel.
Uproar? All I've heard about this is snickering, puns and high school innuendo. I have no evidence of such but I think the picture is his (and he's embarrassed to reveal so) but the posting was a hack/prank.
What's more revealing is how hard the American media is willing to distract it's viewers from political topics that could actually encourage debate and reform. I'm not saying Rome is burning but the smell of smoke is in the air.
infamous image of weiner
How would he not know?
What is it with politicians and the truth.
It really does seem to stick in their throats
That's it? Good grief.
Good thing he wasn't wearing a Speedo, otherwise we would know if he was cut or not.
Its NOT HARD to see how some politicians STRETCH the truth. Bust out the puns!
Well his name is Weiner after all, I would think showing crotch pics is part his family legacy.
As long as a politician doesn't try to legislate who I can sleep with -- then I don't care how they handle their personal affairs as long as what they are doing isn't criminal. Anthony Weiner could have an account with several nude photos on Manhunt and I wouldn't mind--that's between him and his wife.
The only time a politician's personal life matters is when its discovered that they are being hypocritical. For example, a male senator who sleeps with young men but then turns around around and votes against gay marriage and goes on in public about how immoral gay people are. *Then* it matters and I think such hypocracy deserves the front page.
Would sending pics of your crotch to a unsuspecting twitter follower be hypocritical?
You said "stick in their throats."
Silly question. His Hebrew National is kosher.
As someone who uses the Internet, I know that getting access to someone's account and posting pictures of dicks isn't exactly new. So I really don't see why this is news.
I mean, if Weiner was sending pics to some random girl, would he really do it over his official Twitter account?
Than it is his fault for having such an easy password.
I just wish his first name was Richard.
I agree with that. It makes no sense.
My theory is that he had this photo on his computer (and I believe that it actually is a photo of his junk- that's why he won't answer that question), someone hacked in, found it, and then sent it to that girl via his Twitter account.
I mean who doesn't have pics of their own package on their computer?
I just find it amazing that someone in his position, knowing how the media latches onto stories like this, would be stupid enough to take a picture like that and save it on his computer. If it were me, I'd make sure that nothing scandalous was attached to me.
Plus, it's not like this guy is a right wing conservative Republican running on a family values platform.
The news part is that he's a US Congressman!
Although he is creating jobs. His office is flooded with calls about wienergate, and he's probably had to hire interns to make excuses and refer questions to his press secretary.
If he was "hacked" wouldn't that constitute a breach of security and the FBI should be called?
Yeah because "family values" aren't necessary for democrats. lol
He used the term "pranked" and didn't use the term hacked the first few days. Leads me to believe he knows who did it and doesn't want to out them.
I'm not saying they aren't, but that's not the base of his platform like it was for some of the conservative Republicans who cheated on their wives with other women/men.
That makes sense. I forgot about that. I bet that's right.
A result of a drunken party at his office perhaps?
Interesting clue. Maybe college buddies, or his wife?
However anyone taking pictures of his own junk and saving them to a computer late at night may be a little susceptible to that type of pranking.
Does anyone here have images of their privates on their computer? Who does that?
You forgot the shifty eyes GIF.
Many megabytes of certitude are to be found on hard drives everywhere.
yFrog's response basically proves that there was some malicious/exploitative use of Weiner's feed.
Here's the Ars article on how this "hack" might of occurred: Lewd "prank" on Congressman's Twitter account might be yFrog's fault
Why is it that if a story has a remotely sexual connotation and/or offers the general public to make snap moral judgments it runs like wildfire, but when serious issues are presented most people change the channel?
