Ok, so randomly one day my internet stopped working.

It said that I had a "self-assigned IP address and may not be able to connect to the internet".

I called Apple and the guy walked me through a bunch of steps for over an hour.

After, we realized that every other computer in my house was connecting just fine to the internet (they are all PCs). Even my Macbook worked fine when using Windows XP, just not on Mac.

I took it to an Apple Store, and the Mac worked fine with the internet at the Apple Store. The guy told me to call when I got home since there was nothing we could do in the store.

I called Apple and talked to some woman who didn't know her ass from her elbow. She told me she was going to contact Verizon FiOS (my ISP). Before I knew it, I was connected to Verizon. Wtf?

The guy said it had to be a problem with the computer or the Mac OS and not the router, since all other computers were working (and even my Macbook) with Windows.

I had to call Apple back. I spoke to yet another lady who told me it had to be a problem with the router, and that maybe the firmwre had to be updated. I called back Verizon, and they told me it wasn't that.

I called Apple yet again, and we got the problem fixed.

Yay!

Not.

Every time I logged onto my computer, I'd have to run Diagnostics to connect to the internet. EVERY Time. Even if the computer went to Sleep.

So I called today and they finally connected me to the wireless tech and we got the problem fixed. I ended up having to remove my network, then add it back on and rename it or something like that. I was very upset that it took me this long to fix this issue.

Apple has been great in the past, but I was very disappointed with this.
