Western Union Money Transfer scams?!

    Ok, so I posted the laptop I have in my sig on my local Craigslist. HOLY COW! My gmail is sitting with 100MB (about 2,000+) e-mails from "people" wanting to buy my laptop through Western Union Cash Transfer.

    Anyone else have this happen?

    Stay away from these, these are the classic "out of ebay" scam

    Yeah, when I was in the banking business they referred to this as the Nigerian scam. We've had customers in other regions lose hundreds of thousands of dollars because they fell for these kind of scams.

    Stay away as far as you can.

    Yeah, thanks. I already knew it was a scam but it's crazy how many people are doing it!

    They're horrible e-mails too, they don't even look real.
