TL;DR version: pastor will love and pray for his children if they are gay.

The article is a bit long, here's the nuts and bolts of it in the pastor's own words:

Just another parent loving his children - nothing to see here, IMO.

But there is. If a person only got their info from PRSI they'd be led to believe that you can't be a Christian and accepting of gays. That broad brush that is so easy to use.

Sad that many within the church don't feel this way.

If a person only gets info from PRSI then the problem is theirs. Speaking from experience, it's not the least bit difficult to be a Christian and accepting of gays.

Paraphrasing Mark Chapter 12, "Love God. Love each other. No other law is more important."

If devout Christians can love their gay kid(s) and content themselves with praying for them without demeaning, shaming, or disowning them, then a big thumbs up!

Many non-Catholic denominations allow clergy to marry. Simple example: Anglicans.

It's mainly the Roman Catholic church that forbids priests to marry. I'm not sure about Eastern Orthodox, etc.

And Catholic Priests could marry until the Church decided they did not want Priests distracted by families and also wanted to be number one on the Priests list to inherit their estate, or at least that is the claim from some corners.

I'll correct you: Baptist in 'Babtist' Shock.

Don't lump the with the others (especially us Presbyterian Church members)!

I've just spent ten minutes trying to discover his denomination, without success.

Are you distancing yourself from his message of inclusion and understanding and tolerance and universal love and stuff?

Just look up the Presbyterian Church and see what tolerance is all about. We all know how the Babtist Church are the intolerant ones, just ask those extreme right wing people.
