Can anyone tell me what Geekbench scores (single core and multi core) should be for the iPhone 6 when it’s at peak performance? Also, maybe someone could give me an example of bad scores.

Thanks.

Good score is listed in the device score comparison list in Geekbench. Bad score is at least 20% lower than “good score”.

For your convenience.

Thanks for posting this. My scores...

Single 1333
Multi 2285

Doesn’t seem that bad but the phone is so sluggish compared to how it used to be.

iOS 11 is known to drag the last leg of iPhone 6 series processing power. I recommended you download Vidgets and add CPU usage in your widget. If you notice your phone becoming sluggish, check which app is using location, having background refresh on. I just deleted a weather app constantly draining battery for unknown reason because my iPhone becomes extra hot even when I am not using anything.

Great. Thanks again.

Excellent suggestion. My wife's 6 is basically in the same position as the OP's 6. GB4 scores are excellent but subjectively it drags. Maybe that will help. She has location services dialed back so I don't think that's the issue but maybe this will help the diagnosis.

6+ here(A8 processor), single-core score of 1059. A 5s outperforms my phone, as does an iPad mini and iPad Air with an A7 processor, as well as an iPod touch, 6th generation, with the same processor. As others with Geekbench will know, other 6 or 6+ devices score in the 1450+ range.

According to CPU Dasher X, my 1.4ghz CPU is running at ... 839mhz ☹️
