i have a 2011 early 13" Macbook Pro with a 8 gig crucial sys-memory upgrade and still use and love snow leopard but recently downloaded lion to my flash drive
what are the software too hardware benefits of lion vs snow leopard WHICH OS IS BETTER OVERALL!!!
im aware that in several months a new OS might come out and i dont wanna be left behind.

i need detailed opinions about how good and bad lion is compared to snow leopard im thinkin of upgrading to lion but i dont wanna lose all my files i have an 8 gig flash drive i use my macbook mostly for wb-surfing,email music and editing 720-1080p video via iMovie and putting them on youtube

    1. As you don't seem to know, Apple releases a new OS every two to three years, Lion came out last year, thus the next OS is probably not due before 2013/2014.

    2. For your purposes either are fine (10.6 and 10.7), just look at the dozens of threads (3.) about the differences and the setbacks some users experienced.
For me the biggest setback of Lion is the iOSification and the removal of Exposé and Spaces, thus I stay with Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, as it fulfils my computational needs.
