    What does it matter?

All Verizon LTE capable phones come unlocked out of the box.

    I don't understand why that matters…

You want an unlocked phone. It's Verizon. It's unlocked. Period. Whether you sign for something or not.

If you don't want to sign for anything you'd have to pay full price anyway no matter what carrier/company you chose to buy from. And when you pay full price what do you get? An unlocked phone!

Which makes this irrelevant to Verizon. Your choice is not locked or unlocked, your choice is sign or don't sign - the phone is unlocked whether you sign or not.

Depends if its in the US, you would have to pre-order the T-Mobile version since for the other carriers the apple store will make you activate the phone right then and there and also they will check to see if you are a customer of the carrier.

Depends on your carrier. I am with Verizon and did so last year with the 6s on Apple's web site. You would select Pay in full and it will it confirm your eligibility and account information.

Have to be eligible on a network ??? Like we aren't able to get it no contract ?
    I am confused.

I really want to walk into an Apple store later this month and pay it full price without any problems.

What's with the incomplete sentences in long thread titles that run on into the post itself?

But why fit it all into the title? It should be a quick summary not basically the whole post or as much of it as possible. Seems like the first question would be enough or some other short description (like "iPhone 7 with no contract", for example).
