Think I’m interested to find out why they’ve decided to do the X and how the AMOLED screen differs from the LCD on the 8.

Well, due to all the leaks, I feel like I already have almost all the technical information about the capabilities of the new phone. So really all I'm looking forward to at this point is finding out (1) how much will it cost, (2) when can I order it, and (3) how bad the order backlog and shipping delays will be.

I'm definitely getting an X, but I'm preparing myself for a very painful ordering process. Trying to get a jet black iPhone 7 last year was a nightmare. I'm expecting 2x as bad this year.

I'm interested if they will acknowledge the leaks, at least in passing.

"Stop me if you've seen this before..."

We know too much about the tech specs already, even the amount of RAM. Apple doesn't reveal the amount of RAM even after launch. More demos would be preferred.

Couple things in no particular order

1) Pricing
2) how OLED will fare in outdoor lighting, usually an Achilles heel of the tech. My 7+ is exceptional outdoors,
3) what the final design actually looks like for 8 and X
4) press hands-on
5) release date for iPhone X, and the moaning that will ensue from people waiting

Above all else, I’m curious how they will handle the weekend leaks. If they will address it briefly, if it will hamper the overall presentation, or if they’ll just present it as if no leaks ever happened for all the people who don’t follow 9to5 and MR, etc.

I'm looking forward to hearing their thoughts on this being "their best iPhone ever".

A couple of things:

iPhone X
Apple Watch Series 3 Edition (seeing what they will replace the Ceramic with)

I would hardly call it a reveal, we already know about 95% of the details... Most of the things people have listed in this thread are already known.

The X is probably going to be nearly impossible to get for a long time. That with the added cost I might just go for a 7S unless the features on the X are that good.

I only need to know a few things now.
1. The actual price
2. What the Apple Watch Edition will be made of.
3. How much the Apple Watch Edition will cost.

Release date is my biggest thing. Mind is made up, just gotta know what kind of time frame we are looking at for this X model...

An announcement that people who were already participating in the Apple iPhone Upgrade Program and whose phones are eligible for upgrade will.....BE ALLOWED TO PREORDER BEFORE EVERYONE ELSE!!!! Will make the people who (1) were loyal and started in the program and (2) the people who reportedly got screwed with problems last year will be satisfied.

The program is simply for your convenience, so you can easily upgrade every year without going through the process of trading in the phone at a carrier/third party store, paying off your contract and taking a new contract. It's not some sort of exclusive or loyalty program where people are supposed to get some sort of preference over others who are equally as loyal but not in the program, and I really hope Apple doesn't do this sort of thing.

People who are in iUP aren't any more loyal than rest of us who also upgrade every year but haven't joined the program. I am paying $$$ every year to get the new iPhone, doesn't make me any less loyal than those who also upgrade every year but via iUP instead of paying upfront.

The sense of entitlement of people in iUP is insane. It's a convenience program, not a loyalty program and neither Apple markets it that way.

Sorry you disagree and not meant to sound like a "sense of entitlement" but it was a reply to the OP and what I would like to hear.
And if you think that Apple (and whatever bank they are working through) would not rather have to make your payments to them - and hence make it easier for someone to get a new iPhone each year as opposed to switching brands - then you should rethink about it. Might not be labeled by Apple as a "loyalty" program, but it certainly looks like one to me.

Price!

It's simply the make-it or break-it factor for me. I'm expecting Europe and Sweden in particular to get completely fckd on price.

Here's to hoping I'm wrong!

I’m not spending $1000 on a phone, no matter the brand. I’ll be perfectly happy buying the cheaper iPhone 8 or discounted iPhone 7 through my carrier (T-Mobile).

Yeah $1000 is a big ole psychological barrier for me too. Not that I cant afford it,

It’s not an INSANE amount more than $879 for some of its upgrades, but its always on the up and up. There’s gotta be somewhere I draw the line for a phone, or waiting for it to come down being older/second hand, etc.

And reselling the previous gen, I’m finding the amount I’m getting less, and the process more drawn out than years ago, golden resell iPhone years, where I got top dollar and someone took it off my hands within the hour, kinda thing.

$879? The iPhone 7 starts at $650.

For my config,

I’m a plus person, and 32GB wouldn’t cut it

So $879 (upped from $849 for 6s PLus 64gb, the mid-tier storage PLus tier the year before, but $30 was truly insignificant for the gains double storage and two cameras, alone)

Ymmv though to be certain

But cant compare base storage, to a different screen class and size and capacity, even so, imo
