Do you want Glass like the iPhone?
Alu like the iPad
Or chrome like it is now (oooh shiny)
..... I just posted that same poll on your suggestion! Mods, you can delete mine.
Haha, fair enough, i was thinking while making it... hmm what if that bloke i quoted makes one whilst i'm doing this?
I think you can delete your own thread, not sure though
I used to want nice sleek aluminium, but after handling an iPhone 4 in the Apple Store, I want my new Touch to be like that.
I was just thinking about making one of these earlier today . I personally love the glass back. Unfortunately, that seems less likely to be implemented. I could be happy with aluminum though.
What no liquid metal!?
I think alu would be nice, to match iPod nano.
I love the sturdy, flat back of the iPhone 4, but if they gave that to the iPod touch their designs would be far too similar (they've always been made of different materials.)
I kind of want a flat aluminum backing, like the 1st gen, except aluminum instead of chrome, but I expect a curved aluminum backing like the iPad.
There is a category for other, would be nice, but a bit unlikely xD
Id love to see the redesign look square like the iPhone, i don't mind what material it is, as long as there is some sort of nice redesign
Sorry, I haven't been on in a while. I'll go look for a delete option...
Enriched uranium? But I don't think that would sell too well...
Kim Kong-Il would love an enriched uranium iPad.
You mean Kim Jong-Il.
Backing made of gold and Screen made of dimanonds.
I actually like the glass backing of the iPhone 4. I hope they do the same with the touch.
If not, aluminum is up next.
i dont want a flat ipod touch
i like the hump of it..
Glass like the iPhone 4, definitely. Getting sick of chrome backing all scratched up.
I don't anyone that likes the chrome on iPod's.
True. While it may be shiny at first, the overall long-run is just terrible. They got rid of it with the Classic and the Nano. I think it's fair to say it's the iPod touch turn to lose the Chrome.
I really hope apple ditches chrome.
Titanium would allow for durability and lightweight efficiency. Though I feel as though this would have a great effect on price since aluminum is far cheaper and readily available. On the flip side, I'd pay a pretty price for a polished tungsten carbide iPod Touch or iPhone. It would stay scratchless considering the long odds I'd ever drop it on a pile of diamonds.
I like how you think, although titanium wouldn't be cheap.
Isnt Tungsten cheaper than titanium? I think tungsten would be Apple's best bet for a scratch-less backing that also looks great
iPad or iPhone design, it doesn't matter but not the scratchy chrome.
It may be, I was just admitting I'd pay a premium for one either way.
If they changed the iTouch to an iPad-like design, the average consumer would think of it as a smaller, cheaper iPad and buy it instead, thus eating into 's profit margins. And doesn't like things eating into its profit margins.
