Hello everyone I hope you are all well!

Now that the event is over what do you guys think of how it went?

Are you excited about any of the new products and are you going to purchase anything?

I cannot wait to get my hands on the new iPhone 7 Plus in 128GB.

So happy that the upgrade program is coming to the UK too.

Let me know what you guys think :)

    Take Care

I think Apple showed a lot of courage today.

    No headphone jack.
Raising prices on base Plus model.

Hmmm...Cant think of a 3rd thing that was notable so now my snarky response is incomplete.

(BTW. Definitely getting 7Plus. I'll try for Jet Black but I'll settle for Rose Gold again)

I was planning on purchasing the new iPhone anyway, the event didn't change my mind. But, I have noticed a few things.

    1. Since Jobs passed away these events are not as exciting to see. There's a few reasons. One being with the internet now a days every knows what the devices are before they are on stage, so there is no "wow" factor. The second main reason being there is only so much you can improve on at this stage in technology.

    2. I really feel Apple is trying hard to be innovative, but to a degree they're missing the boat. Their products will always be amazing and high quality. But, I think they are too focused on goals and agenda rather than what will make a user's life easier.

I don't need or want the watch, but I will be purchasing the iPhone 7 Plus.

I'm finding these events harder and harder to watch. Everything is too polished and the presentations just seem almost fake. This is by far the least excited about the new phones as I've been in years.

I'm not buying any of the new profucts announced today, but I'm pretty excited about Pokémon GO for Apple Watch, since the Android Wear version can't be far behind.

I started watching an hour in when the iPhone was being introduced and it was forgettable. Then again I already knew everything about it because of the leaks.

I had thought the last event was the most boring possible.

    I was wrong

The music performance at the end was...horrible. Maybe I'm just old now. But, wow...that performance wasn't fun to watch at all. In fact I thought it was terrible.

In regards to the event itself - boring. But, it's not Apple's fault. With so many confirmed rumors and leaked photos nothing is surprising. Everything announced today was expected - everything.

I was not happy after the 6S unveiling, at all. I came into this one with low expectations and will tell you I was blown away. Loved everything they did with the iPhone. Cannot be more excited to pre-order. No brainwashing. No Koolaid. No iSheep. They delivered to me exactly what I was wanting with the OS I prefer. For those who thought it sucked, lacked or failed.....sorry. Cannot please everyone.

    I don't know she's "old" too she's pushing 40 now. :p

Joking aside I agree it was nothing surprising. The leaks every year is what ruins it. I think the only thing I didn't see coming was the water resistance on the iPhone.

For the first time...I will not be making a purchase of the next gen iPhone. It's primarily because of the look.

    I was hoping for...
    New shape
    OLED screen
    Wireless charge

The only thing I liked about the event is that they added 32gb as the base model for iPhones.

I didn't like the way they introduced the new iPhone. They first showed the 7 Plus, and referred to it as iPhone 7. After they showed some photos and videos of it, and built it up, they switched to the actual iPhone 7 with a single camera. "Oh btw, this is the real 7, not the phone that we've just wow'd you with..."

Would have been more honest if they showed the single cam 7 first, and then introduced the dual cam 7 Plus after.

"This is the best __insert something made by Apple here__ ever created!" "We can't wait for you to try it!"

The events now lack discipline and wow factor. The presenters are average at best, trying too hard to use superlatives to describe underwhelming products and there are too many of them.

Tim Cook tries desperately to appear both cool and statesmanlike but hasn't got much on stage charisma and doesn't present new products himself.

To be honest, they are now in Microsoft territory and nothing like the exciting and entertaining events of the Jobs era that we so used to look forward to.

I didn't listen, I glanced four or five headlines at 9to5Mac.

Yep. If there's an option to have less local storage, you could instead pay steep prices for iCloud storage ;)

The Nintendo announcement surprised me. I won't be buying the AirPods, but the way they approached it is really impressive - Like how it knows if you have them on or not. Just recently bought some wireless earphones and was thinking about that very thing.

I don't think the 32 GB will help people that much. It's an improvement, but then it's not if the sole reason you were after it was because you wanted extra room for a few more videos and photos.

Hi guys! Please feel free to redirect this post to the correct forum in case I'm placing it in the wrong one--I figured it makes sense to use the iPhone forum since it seems to have been the biggest announcement.

I rarely post here, but this keynote was so cool that I felt the need to say something.

Firstly, as an avid Nintendo gamer, I was completely ecstatic that Miyamoto showed up to talk about the new mobile Mario game, as well as Niantic with their Pokémon GO companion for the Apple Watch. I can't say I'm surprised that there's a Nintendo related app, but even as going so far as to invite Miyamoto himself to speak shows how seriously they take that relationship. I'm looking forward to see what else Nintendo can bring to the table with iOS.

I had also purchased my Apple Watch earlier this year with the partial hope that there would be Pokémon GO compatibility once the app came out. I was mildly disappointed, but did realize that they released it earlier than expected, as well as postponed the PLUS accessory. That being said, there's a bit of mild disappointment that the app will be released well after the 2nd gen watch comes out, but then again I'm super glad that there is a Watch app at all. While I'll probably get the PLUS for collector's purposes, I like that I only need to wear one wrist accessory to work with Pokémon GO. And it seems to have a few cool features, most of which won't work on the PLUS because it doesn't have a screen.

Apple Watch upgrades are cool. Waterproofing I believe is a huge step in the right direction, as well as increased speed, considering some load times of the older watch. The GPS isn't a huge deal for me but I imagine for workout buffs it's a great addition. As an upgrade to the first watch, I don't believe it is substantial enough, but, since I've been having issues with my watch that Apple fails to acknowledge, I may upgrade on principle.

The iPhone upgrades are pretty awesome. Water resistance is a huge step for Apple, similar to the waterproofing of the Apple Watch. Also having more speakers is always welcome, as well as extended battery life--which may be necessary since they've removed the headphone jack. Increased camera quality is cool, although I wonder if the dual lens will allow the taking of 3D photos. Storage options are better... quite frankly, I don't see myself with any complaints of the new phone. I'll be sure to upgrade after my 12 months (or whatever) is done with the iPhone upgrade program.

I have no real opinion on Apple Music or the music sections, as most of the time I'm listening to gaming soundtracks that I have found on the internet or taken from limited edition bundles (save for the Pokémon music available on iTunes). Also with the Wireless earbuds, I think wireless audio can be the thing for the future, if we let it. From what I hear from most, it isn't where it needs to be, but quite frankly, I really enjoy the audio from my Wireless Beats, and with the wireless earbuds as a sort of internal competition, Beats engineers will have to step up their game. I'd still be too darn afraid of those earbuds falling out of my ears though, haha. Also, I like the idea of using wireless from either my Watch or my iPhone, and wouldn't be surprised if they remove the lightning connector entirely for the next iPhone, to completely waterproof it.

What do you guys think? I, for one, am a happy camper. I'll give it a 9/10 (minus one point simply for not mentioning anything about iPad or Macs). Thanks to everybody who took the time to read this.

The new iPhone 7, Apple Watch (Series 2) and the brand new AirPods are incredible!!

I currently have the iPhone 6 Plus Silver 16GB and Apple Watch (Series 1) 38mm Space Grey face so i can't wait to get my hands on the iPhone 7 Plus & Apple Watch (Series 2)

iPhone 7 Plus 32GB - I was originally going to stay with the colour silver BUT the new black colours look so nice. I do like the JET Black colour but i feel like it's going to be a fingerprint magnet so I'm planning on getting the Matte Black colour. What colour are you getting?

Apple Watch (Series 2) - I was originally going to get the silver 42mm face so that it would match my silver iPhone 7 Plus BUT because I'm planning on having a brand new colour (Matte Black) I will be getting the 42mm Space Grey colour so it matches my iPhone 7 Plus. What size and colour are you getting?

Apple AirPods - I LOVE the AirPods BUT will i be getting them? Probably not... I have my Wireless Bose headphones so i don't really need the Wireless AirPods. I'm happy with the cabled EarPods for when I'm out and about in public. I also don't like the price! haha. What do you think of the brand new AirPods?
