Just wondering what other hardware is out there that has good capabilities to use iPhone/iPad apps to control it. For example here are some devices which I use apps for control:

    TiVo Premiere
    Pioneer 1021 receiver
Synology NAS for file access (not hardware control)
Insteon home automation (Just started with a few devices)

I wish the PS3 had a remote, as well as my Epson projector but no big deal.

I love the idea of being able to access devices. I wish appliances and cars had this. I think some vehicles will get them in the near future.

I grabbed an app from the App Store.

I think it's called "PCH Remote".

I control my Tivo. Pointless really but it can "freak out" family members when I do it from another room :)

I control my Roku box, my Airport Extreme (sort of. the app is gimpy), and my iTunes. I also use LogMeIn with it to access my PC.

I long for the day that a PS3 remote app is released. Especially since my unit doubles as a blu-ray player too.

Comcast set top boxes and their DVRs, Sony Bluray player, and iTunes running on my PC connected to my home theater.

I also long for a PS3 app and would like to control the home security system with it.
