    ago?

I simply don't want to clutter my iPhone 5 with pictures, notes, etc, from my first iPhone

    BUT

of course I want to save them for memories.

What's the best way to do this?

A 64GB wouldn't make a difference because I don't want to clutter it at all with such old information and pics.

You take responsibility for your device and back everything up to your computer or better yet I prefer using DropBox. THEN you delete the stuff from your device. My company keep thousands of Word and Excel docs on DropBox, each of which can be on your device in only seconds when you need it. We do the same for mages, in fact, DropBox will automatically back up images taken on your phone.

You just need to take the steps to do it.

Get yourself an evernote account and catalog them properly on there.

As has been said, move them to your PC and back them up there.

    Right. Doesn't everyone do this?

Not to state the obvious here, but I'd hate to see OP's reaction if he were to lose the data on his phone. That's a LOT of faith in iPhone backups... (which I'm hoping he/she has).

Copy them to your computer, and in iTunes, have it sync the picture folder back to your phone.

You then have two sets of photos on your phone: Your current camera roll, and the archive of photos. Greatly reduces clutter, and your pictures are backed up.

Leaving too many photos in the camera roll can slow down your camera so I try to clear the camera roll out every couple of months. I back my photos up to my computer and if it’s something I want to keep on my iPhone I organize it into a folder and sync it back through iTunes. It’s much more organized that way and makes for less clutter.
