I'm curious to see what the members of MR that stoop to going to PRSI think about hell. ;)

I heard a good philosophy today that makes alot of sense to me.

They said that when you die, you become more and more yourself as eternity progresses. This act for some people is heaven, for others its hell. Simple as that.

A fictitious place used to scare people to live their lives a certain way.

Sorry, I'm not a particularly deep fellow. The idea of becoming more like ourselves sounds AWFUL, I'm a right bastard.

On second thought, its probably something else, but some things here suck pretty hard too.

I'm starting to think the same thing.

Either that or being stuck in an elevator with Al Roker, Nancy Palosi, Gary Busey, Paris Hilton, and Simon Cowell.

Hell=being forced to watch non stop marathons of "The Real Housewives of..." in HD and HD surround sound and the only escape you have is a slow Dell computer running Vista without SP1, and whenever it messes up or restarts it makes the sound of 100 crying babies multiplied to be 1000 times louder and the internet is dial up.

Well I'm not saying that I don't like it, just that I would rather cut off all my limbs with a rusty butter knife than have to sit through a full episode of it.

    Wow serious harshness. :D

I guess you get used to it (OC version at least) when it's pretty much what you see around you all the time. Basically every 'housewife' I know fits exactly into either the Vicki, Jeana, Lynne, or Tamra category. :p

To me that's even more of a reason not to watch it, if I was surrounded with those type of people I definitely wouldn't want to watch more people like that when I get home. But to each his own...

So how about that hell? (sorry to kind of hi-jack the thread)

Ya sorry for getting a bit side-tracked. I guess everyone has their own perception of what Hell is regardless of whether they are religious or not.

Zimbabwe, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afghanistan under the Taliban. Basically anyplace where religion dictates law. That is Hell.

Then what happens to you when you die?

Iran is actually a pretty moderate state:

The others, yeah they're pretty bad.

You won't go someplace deep underground and be consumed in fire, but you may pick one or the other. Do you prefer boxes or jars?
