I have a yearly subscription to Apple Music that expires tomorrow. I also have a promo from Target for 4 free months, though I think it’s only 1 month if you’ve used the 3 month trial in the past. To use it though, you can’t be in a subscription which means I need to let the subscription lapse.

What happens to your saved songs, playlist, etc. if your Apple Music subscription expires and you renew?

edit: I don’t know if this is correct or not, but Apple Support chat told me playlists will come back, but Apple Music songs and albums added to my library will not (I’d need to add them again). I don’t know if that’s worth the hassle to get a month free.

I let mine lapse recently (for about a month) and when I resubscribed I'm pretty sure my playlists and library came back…but I didn't have a Target-type situation like that.

What I did find out is that when I re-subscribed the yearly plan wasn't an option…I could change to the yearly plan during the first month which took effect after the first month.
