I've always used completely black wallpaper for the high contrast readability. I don't want to be forced to use a wallpaper for DI to work as intended.
 
It puts a faint outline around the DI. I haven't seen issues with having black on the wallpaper near the DI.

That actually looks a lot better to me than on a light wallpaper. It’s like DI was designed with dark in mind! I always go as dark as possible on all of my devices. Dark wallpaper, dark mode. Mostly it’s because I see all of the scteen quirks that electronic devices have on light backgrounds. I also just love everything dark. This makes me even more excited to get the pro max!
