I bought the 2.4 GHZ model, and I am upgrading the ram and also thinking about doing the hard drive. Can anyone give me a link to a model that's the specs\physical size I need to use? Anyone find any super good deals?

    Thanks!

Any 2.5in 9.5mm high SATA drive will work. Not sure about 12mm ones.

12mm drive can fit in the 17" model, since Apple doesn't have wiring stuck to the top f the drive.

Can you get a 500GB 7200 rpm 2.5" drive anywhere, I can only find 5400 rpm drives. Or are they not out yet?

Re-read the OP. The Late 2008 model moved the HDD, it's now next to the battery in the bottom compartment.

Currently i think the biggest 7200rpm drive is 320Gb. I'm sure if your prepared to wait the 500Gb versions will be release soon. Ofcourse, you can always use Gooooooogle!!
