I recognize the flaws with asking this question but we've got nothing to do this week but speculate anyway so why not reverse the "9.7in is perfect" defense and pretend it was the other way around?
In 2009, what if the iPad Mini came first?
- 7.85" Screen
- 8/16/32/64GB
- $250 starting price
So if the iPad Mini came first then would there really be a high demand for a 9.7" size that started out at twice the price ($499)? Would YOU be able to justify it? Is there a specific task that would only work on 9.7" but not on a 7.85? Or would 9.7" seem like a niche product since it decreases portability and raises the cost of ownership?
