What is being loaded?

I'm looking for an app that shows me what files are being access by a certain program.
A similar program is Little Snitch, but that one is for the internet access.
Lets say i want to find where the image of the menu of a simple program is (should be in /Contents/Resources/whatever but lets imagine its not). Could a program "find" what files were being loaded/accessed at a given time?

What about Activity Monitor?

i haven't tried it yet (gotta run to school) but i'm not sure if it show what files are being loaded, only what programs are running :/

activity monitor does do what i want all i need to do is go to the app, and choose inspect its all there
