I will be preordering the new iphone and want to get the best price possible.

Thanks

1. Don't preorder iPhones
2. Keep your old phone until you get the new one to be sure everything is working fine and it really is the phone you want. More than a few people return brand new iPhones because it wasn't what they were hoping.

Swappa.com

You will get the best price there and more than likely a legit buyer. They charge a flat fee. I have sold quite a few on there.

For comparison wise to sell your phone, I would utilize ‘Swappa’ for the most accurate results in terms of the condition/storage/color of what the device is being sold for. But my own personal opinion on this matter, I _never_ sell my phones/Apple products online, in person is my own preference.

I've always had good luck on Craigslist. I sold a 512 GB Max for $900 two weeks ago and I have another 512 also listed and got an offer for $800 last night. I think I'm gonna pull the ad though and just keep on using this second XS Max.

Guys just make sure if you get paid with an E-check on swap WAIT FOR IT TO ACTUALLY CLEAR

The scam on swappa is they pay you with an e-check and you get a notification you got paid and its all good! But unless you look in a specific place, you'll miss where it says that the check still needs to clear which takes 3-5 business days, or longer. Happened to me twice where people tried to buy my phone expecting and asking me to ship it ASAP hoping I wouldn't notice or care that it hadn't actually cleared yet.

I felt bad for sending the legit buyer an angry message when I noticed I got paid by E-Check for the 3rd time lol....but it worked out. I hatttteeee selling phones and dont want to deal with it anymore.

And make sure you meet at a super public place too. Last guy I was going to meet in person agreed to meet me in semi public places. I told him the police station was the only option. Thought it was funny he didn't try to haggle on price at all, and looked shady. After he agreed on a time and place 30 mins away, I went to message him back I was on my way and he blocked me. Turns out he and his gf were robbing people of phones after agreeing to meet up and buy them.

Be careful!
