Will it be 8GB or more like 6GB ?

about 7.8 then whatever it takes for the os

8/1.024 is how you get the real capacity before any thing is added like os

Just like disk drives. No need to whine about it.

^ Yea, they measure in bits on the box, but the all computers use bytes, so its roughly 8:1 bit/byte ratio. 1.024 if you want to get really technical about it.

It's not like a physical or flash disk drive.

The iPhone uses a simple memory chip. The 8GB chip contains 2^33 = 8,589,934,592 bytes.

File system overhead and OS take up space that's then unusable for data.

Then they should say it's only 7 gb of usuable memory. 1 gig couldve held more songs or one movie. Not everyones a nerd
