What is up with this iPhone?

My sister showed me her white iphone 4(still in warranty) showing a bunch of colored lines and the phone was HOT but I restarted it and the colored lines went away and then came back and then disappeared from the middle of the screen but is still in the corners. Also, weirdly enough, the phone cooled down right when I restarted it.

She also says it showed diamonds on the screen right before that.

bad connection from LCD to board. take it in and they will open it up for you and reconnect it. Happened to my 4 back in the day.

They seem to be gone. Should I still take it in?

Edit: Nevermind. My iPhone now has a dark spot with photos taken with the rear camera and square trade will pay for it so I'll just take it in.
