As an owner of an Apps Review site I would like to know what you guys actually look for and like in your reviews?

Do you prefer video reviews or written reviews or both?

What do you look to find out about the most? Control issues, graphics, or sound. What is important to you.

Also do you like short to the point reviews or longer in depth reviews?

I have been doing both written and video reviews about 3 min each on video, still learning alot each time so im getting better but I want to know what you want to hear.

I have been told its against the rules of this site to promote other sites, but I am allowed to point you to my signature and ask you to check out the site and see my reviews and give me some feedback..

I just completed two reviews for Alphabetic and Bounce On..

Also if your a developer I am looking to get more utility reviews not just games as most sites are focused on. So if you have a good app read the developer tag at my site.

I look for both video and written review.

Video so that I could take a look at a short gameplay or functionality of the app.

Written review on the other hand so we could read the pros and cons of the games. What's more important to me is what the app can do (so far) and what it can't do (right now) Do the developers listen to the feedback? Will they release an update because of their customers or do they just present an app and leave the store. Also the present issues(bugs) will help me decide whether or not to buy it. Graphics and sounds will somehow impact game apps if they're really low. Game play on the other hand is a big factor for games.

I don't watch video reviews; I'm often listening to music or some such and it's therefore easier to read. In the case of the App Store reviews, I'm much more likely to read the ones with proper punctuation, spelling etc.

I'm mainly interested in reviews of utilities/productivity applications, not games. As you point out, there are few sites that do much of that. Maybe because gameplay isn't my main interest for reviews, I seldom watch videos.
    Amen to that!

I find this continual replacement of web images with videos extremely annoying. Blogs like Engadget and Gizmodo are the worst offenders - I have to press play on some YouTube clip, wait for it to load and then watch some random Movie Maker intro before I can see the product. No thanks, what's wrong with a simple jpg screenshot?

More non-game reviews for me. Many sites seem to be games only. :(

it is true: games are a majority of app review sites out there. do what you can to prove that you are different in a crowded place! it is hard im sure. good site though, we at touchmyapps.com sure love it!
