A friend of mine found this fongus in his backyard and we are trying to find out what kind it is. He have never seen something like that.

    Do you have any idea?

Looks like some variety of mushroom. (Check out Wikipedia's entry on that.)

Good luck searching for a similar photo. Somebody needs to invent an image search method!

Spelling correction, I think you meant "Moshruum" :) :)

It says is from New Zeland but this one is in Venezuela. It is under a "passion fruit" tree. And is in a humed hot field, in an orange field.

Plants (and animals) move and migrate. I would contact a local university. Especially if this may be new/rare in that area.

Update: I just did a google search on "basket fungus" and "Venezuela" and it seems that this type of fungus may known in that part of the world. I didn't look hard enough to find pictures, but if you spent some time you could probably find it with those search terms. You might need to swap out the Venezuela with other countries in the region.

Damn, I thought I've seen some things in my day but that's definitely cool.

Evidently, it's stinkhorn fungus aka Maiden's Veil fungus. Or related to them, I dunno.

The rest of the search is up to someone else because while I was googling, I ran into this page. Dancers have the best legs.

I'm not even going to guess how you got to the pages with the dancer's legs from Space Fongus

    (.... and I agree...) ;)

I was going to say something similar, but to me it looks like a bald eagle with a white frame replacing its wings.

I dunno either. It's just when a random picture of a hot girl in a short skirt shows up on an unrelated google image search, I have to click on it. It's a compulsion.

Imagine, if that was only by thinking in the space fongus... what would be the actual effects by tasting it?

I believe this weekend we are gonna have a home project.

By the way, there's no Dictionary entry for "fongus"

But then, the dashed red line was your first clue...

I can think of two meanings...

1: That fuzzy stuff on your thongue after staying up too late and drinking too much.

2: If you are like wearing skimpy bathing suits, its the bit your thong covers.

    Any other suggestions?
