Clearly, you do not regularly read text using logographic characters (e.g., Chinese, Japanese) on your notebook computer. Increased resolution is particularly helpful in these situations.I'm at a point where I think 4k on a laptop is overkill never mind 6k. FHD is really more then enough imo
I agree that 4K displays are largely a waste of resources for languages using written Western alphabets.
But the world isn't only populated by Westerners. Hell, China has been Apple's #1 market for several years.
If you look at printed materials, even 1200 dpi laser printer output looks like crap compared to offset lithography when logographic character reproduction is involved.
