What kinds of Windows laptops do you want to see at CES?

I'm at a point where I think 4k on a laptop is overkill never mind 6k. FHD is really more then enough imo
Clearly, you do not regularly read text using logographic characters (e.g., Chinese, Japanese) on your notebook computer. Increased resolution is particularly helpful in these situations.

I agree that 4K displays are largely a waste of resources for languages using written Western alphabets.

But the world isn't only populated by Westerners. Hell, China has been Apple's #1 market for several years.

If you look at printed materials, even 1200 dpi laser printer output looks like crap compared to offset lithography when logographic character reproduction is involved.

You are correct and I think you are missing my point that I offered my personal opinion. I'm not proclaiming that 4k is a waste in a 15" laptop for everyone but for myself. In using a 4k laptop, I'm seeing that its really overkill in such a small form factor. You are free to agree or disagree

A P74 with 4K touch screen at 2-2.5kg (current P73 is 3.4kg) and 8 hours of battery life. No backlight bleed nor other QC issue please.

Lenovo would probably cripple it as usual to accomplish that.

3kg would be good enough and likely doable without major compromises.

Yes 3KG with 4K touch screen should be doable. This year they stupidly scre*ed up the integration of the touch panel on OLED. Should have made a UHD touch configuration.

Good if they could keep the silentness with i9 and the next version of RTX5K
