I am curious what yall are pairing with your mini? I have a 27" iMac so trying to figure out how much more monitor I need/want. I was thinking a 30-34" would be plenty .. especially since I will have a monitor arm and it will be able to be moved back an extra 10-12" from my face.

I was thinking some of the below:

I am thinking I would miss not getting 4k, especially since I am planning on keeping it the life of the mini, but I have never had one before so I may not know what I am missing and live in the world of not knowing :)

Any other choices out there in this price range size range?

I would have preferred a 32" monitor, but my monitor sits under a wall mounted shelf unit, and a 27" monitor is the largest that would fit... I have the LG 27UK600-W 27" IPS LED 4K UHD connected via a USB-C > DP cable.

I am luckily not limited to a size per se ... I built my desk with a bigger monitor in mind.
Now just the tough decision of picking one haha

Here's the setup...

In use the Dell UltraSharp 32 inch U3219Q. It’s 4K has USB-C, HDMI and DP inputs. It works great on the Mac Mini. For me at least.

I have a BenQ SW240 and an old Dell U2410.

Thinking now to replace the Dell because I never realized how hot the monitor runs compared to the BenQ.
Also want the bezels to match now 😂

Damn. Just what I’m looking for. I’m in the midst of buying the newish Mac mini to replace my iMac. I didn’t realize monitors are so pricey. :(. I might have second thoughts now. Because I don’t want a trashy monitor either. I need something in the middle. Thanks

I’ve got 2 LG 32QK500‘s, I bought them last year when one of my previous monitors packed up. At the time it was cheaper for the pair than it was to buy an ultrawide (3440x1440).

Got my 2018 Mini a little over two months ago with a BenQ PD3200Q and love it. I have been using an ancient 23" Apple Cinema Display HD forever that is 100 pixels per inch and wanted to keep close the the same dot pitch so I could run at native resolution to avoid stressing the UHD-630. The BenQ is about 92 ppi so text and user interface elements are a comfortable size for me. Cost was $400 at B&H Photo

Just ordered my Mac Mini and hoping that LG would release this monitor soon:

That is a sweet looking monitor! I can only find info on it in the UK, hopefully they get something comparable in the US soon. Pretty sure some version of these LG UW's monitors are going to be my next one ...

How long have you been using the U3219Q? What do you use it for mostly? What input you using?

The best monitors I have ever used are the Dell Ultrasharp. Nothing reach the display quality and flawless performance of these monitors to date (in my opinion). Fully featured, good connectivity, VESA capable. Really one cannot go wrong with an Ultrasharp.

Ahah I have a U2414 and a U2313. The 2414 is Led while the 2313 of my girlfriend is using incandescent lamp. Crazy the difference in heat between both!!!
If I’d change right now I’d go with either two U2520 or U2720. More expansive than Korean, but you get what you pay for.

Samsung 28" LU28R55. Kind of an odd one at 28" but IPS panels, 4K, and it was less then $300 on sale at Best Buy a month or two ago. Too bad I didn't buy it sooner to use on my Mac Pro, games would've looked killer at 4k on it!

I still have my 23" Apple Cinema Display that I bought with my PowerMac G5 in 2006, used it straight through until two months ago on my 2012 quad Mini. Thought it was about time to finally replace with the new Mini however. :)

I’m still rocking my 2012 Mini, she’s still got life left in her so I can save for a better spec Mac (iMac or another Mini).

I bought my ACD brand new and I’d say I got my money’s worth out of it and it still minty fresh. Not sure what to sell it for or sell it with my old Mini as a bundle.

Yeah, bought mine new also and was a bit uneasy about the high cost, IIRC it was $1500. These were really great screens in their day, I also had one at work.

Went to the NAB Convention back around that time, and Matrox had just introduced the MXO, which was a firewire interface that you connected to the display for accurate color with Final Cut Pro. People were very impressed - in the Matrox booth they had an Apple Cinema display connected to their box next to a $12000 Sony studio monitor. The image on the two screens looked identical!

My 2012 quad mini is still going strong too, but is now a headless server with 20tb of disks. :)

I'm using an MSI 24" Curved gaming monitor (Optix G24c) - 144Hz refresh rate (only 120Hz via HDMI due to limitations of the HDMI spec itself).

Currently using an LG Ultrafine but thinking of switching to a 32" for my development needs.

Using this Dell 38” for almost 2 years, Its been great, especially for multi spread sheets and drawings.
