What new features are there to be excited about if I don't have an iOS device?

I bought the 2012 MBA and will get the upgrade to 10.8, but I am still looking for something to be excited about with this update. I don't have an iOS device anymore and probably wont ever buy one again, but I still want to be excited about this upgrade. I have been an OSX fan for years , but these last two updates seem more focused on iOS than anything else. The only thing that I can see now as a positive is being able to search through safari's address bar. This was one of the main reasons I went with the chrome browsers because it worked so well and don't know if it is any better to sway me from chrome at this point.I also don't use Facebook or Twitter so any of those features are not a benefit to me.

I am really trying to find more pros than cons with Apple's new strategy, but if it keeps moving towards iOS and social networking it will lose its appeal to me.

    basically every feature...
The only part that has any benifits to owning a phone i iCloud, but even that is not required to use it because there is a web portal where you can access most of your things.

    Thanks,

I a still waiting on my upgrade code so I havent been able to play with a lot. I assumed notification center was more for iOS and facebook messages, will it work with outlook, gmail, and other third party solutions like XAPP clients or is it only for certain Apple solutions? I feel like power nap is the same thing as working with you computer closed and connected to a monitor. I will have to look into that more when I get ML installed.

I have been looking at the new features on Apple's website and maybe it's just me and what I use a computer for. I guess I thought most people didn't use a lot of the standard apps like Mail, Notes, Calender, Contacts, photo booth and so on. Since there are so many better third party options that I have become familiar with I never went back to look at these. I will have to take another look at them and see what they have to offer.
