After every conversation seeming to swing back around to people essentially arguing that: Apple should have used hotter components to make the machines faster, meaning a bigger design to accommodate the requirements, I have this image in my head right now:

Well the 7 series is fairly loaded. I'd say the better analogy is a 530i -- just enough power for the chasis but still needs about $10K in creature comfort upgrades to be a functional luxury car vs and expensive stripped one.

Factoring in the price and internals, it's more like small with fast storage, average internals and a great view.
