Most computer people I know have some funky toys and other things adorning their workspace, and I'm no exception.
I have a Maryland Terps bobble-head Testudo figure, Buudy Christ figure, talking Dr. Evil figure, and a wind-up Marilyn Manson figure on top of my CRT, and the McFarlane Matrix Sentinel figure and Chateau scene on top of my bookcase.

You?

No action figures - but I do have a selection of eclectic items - from a assorted rock collection (1 pound of calcacite - copper ore, to a fossil and river washed volcanic rock that looks like a meteorite), a manikin with a broken hand to my only real toy - a real, metal slinky. :D

I have a couple of comics taped to the wall (arlo n janis, helen, sweetheart of the internet, and userfriendly), a picture of a HUGE roll of duct tape (found it when the duct tape scare was going on) and an old Meowth Pokemon card.

That's it :)

Although, if I get a MEGAS robot for Christmas, it would probably be put on my desk :D

A 12" SSUR Che Guevara/Cornelius (Planet of the Apes) action figure with interchangable heads.

Late-70s Six Million Dollar Man Masketron and Bionic Bigfoot figures

A couple of Planet of The Apes Medicom Kubrick sets (lego/playmobile type toys)

A Medicom Kubrick "Pantone Color Swatch" figure set

I like toys :D

I used to have action figures ALL OVER my room. I am trying to get away from that though...for some reason chicks just don't understand.

It is still hard to get away from it though, at home I have an Optimus Prime and Soundwave figure on my desk. And at work I have a few St. Louis Cardinals McFarlane Sports Pics figures. I would LOVE more tho, I left the rest of my collection at my parents house and in storage.

Too much crap on my desk these days for too many toys. But I do have a remote control car pen. It's a mini (about 1.5" long) remote control car that sits on the top of a pen. You take the car off and use the pen as the remote control (IR). The Micro RC Racer.

It's a nice stress (or boredom) reliever on conference calls. :D

Looking around the room I share with 9 other people on the webteam, here's what I see:

-A plush Bob the Builder, slightly altered...has angry eyebrows and felt-tip "blood" running out of his mouth

-Several bobbleheads of various sports figures

-Simpsons, Cat in the Hat, Incredible Hulk posters

-Giant inflatable Spongebob Squarepants

-Nerf guns, one for each of us. Used frequently.

I love my workplace...

no toys  ... the main thing near my desk is a poster I made from a photo of my kids... A3 size. there is no room near me, really, 2 PCs, my iBook, 2 printers, 2 bookshelves, 1 network analyzer... really I don't have place for a toy but I may consider it and will take one tomorrow.

Just a PowerPuff Girls plastic badge-thing stuck to the corner of my monitor frame.

I am – after all – a serious-minded professional...

Can of Love
A guy here at the office has a Can of Woopass on his shelf, but I've never heard of a Can of Love. Open only in an emergency.
