Can any on the newer USB C Apple cables be used to connect the two devices OR do you need something in particular?

Thanks

my studio display shipped with an apple TB4 cable (in the box)
TB3, I believe. And the ones that come with the ASD are very short. I'm using them on two of mine (to Studio) and a longer one on my ASD that I have mounted on a VESA arm (so I can rotate it).

OP: I believe any USB C cable will drive the ASD. I am using TB3 on all of mine.

i just checked. my mac studio shipped with a TB4 (apple black woven 1.0 m) cable in the box

apple also still sells the non-woven white TB3 cable (must be purchased separately)

Cool. My ASD each came with the 1.0 m woven cables. I thought they were TB3. Either way - they work but are short.
